Change version and software

Paper, Purpur, Vanilla, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge in any Minecraft version, in the Panel under Versions.

  1. Click Panel at the top and open your server. You're signed in there automatically.
  2. On the left under Minecraft, go to Versions.
  3. Pick the software (Paper or Purpur for plugins, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge for mods, Vanilla for the original) and the Minecraft version.
  4. Make a backup under Backups first, then start the switch.

The server is stopped and downloads the new version. This usually takes one to three minutes. Afterwards, start it again.

Going back to an older version can damage the world, and plugins or mods don't fit every software. In that case, restore the backup you made before in the Panel under Backups.
