Install plugins, mods and modpacks

The Installer in the Panel downloads the matching version from Modrinth, along with required dependencies and later updates.

What you can install depends on the software: Paper and Purpur use plugins, Fabric, Forge and NeoForge use mods. The installer detects what's running on your server and only shows what fits.

1. Open your server in the Panel and on the left under Minecraft go to Installer.
2. Search the Plugins or Mods tab by name, for example EssentialsX or Lithium.
3. Click Install. We download the version that matches your Minecraft version, along with required dependencies like the Fabric API.
4. Click Restart now once everything is downloaded. New plugins and mods only become active after the restart.

If a newer matching version exists, the entry shows To …. One click updates it and the old file is removed afterwards. Files you uploaded yourself show up in the list too.

Modpacks are in the Modpacks tab. We switch the server to the matching mod loader and Minecraft version, download all mods and apply the pack's settings. Your previous mods go into a folder mods-vorher-…; the world stays.

Keep the backup turned on before installing a modpack. If the modpack doesn't fit your world, restore the old state in the Panel under Backups.
