Create and connect databases

For plugins like LuckPerms or CoreProtect: a MySQL database in three clicks.

Some plugins and mods prefer to keep their data in a database rather than in files, especially when several servers share the same data. Every server includes 5 databases.

1. Open your server in the Panel and click Databases on the left.
2. Click New database, enter a name under Database name (for example luckperms) and leave Connections from empty.
3. Click Create database. The list now shows Endpoint (address and port) and the username; the eye icon shows the password.
4. Enter address, port, database name, user and password in the plugin's configuration and restart the server.

Treat the password like a key. If it got into the wrong hands, Rotate password creates a new one; enter it in the plugin.

Connections from limits where connections may come from. Empty means anywhere, which is fine for plugins on your server. Deleting a database deletes its data; back it up first with an export from the plugin.
